This year served as the third year for the Bobalu Berry Farms Scholarship Program honoring company founders, Bob and Lupe Jones. It was noted that in the previous two years, no students applying for scholarships were children of Bobalu employees, so the staff made a considerable effort to promote the scholarship program to employees of Bobalu.

Yearbook 2023

Grandsons, Bobby and RC of company founders, were extremely honored to be able to carry this program beyond 2022 when the first scholarships were awarded as part of a 60th company anniversary celebration. The brothers committed to making this an annual program and to expand it in 2023. This second year, the Bobalu Berry Farms Scholarship Program was expanded to include Santa Maria high schools along with those in Oxnard, CA. As a result, we were able to award 21 scholarships to students – 9 from Oxnard and 12 from Santa Maria.

Yearbook 2022

This was our inaugural program launched in Oxnard, CA to commemorate 60 years in business and to specifically honor company founders, Bob and Lupe Jones. We announced the program to the high schools throughout Oxnard (our company headquarters) and were so excited to award 9 scholarships our first year.

The Bobalu, LLC family established this scholarship program to honor family founders Bob and Lupe Jones.  The goal of the Bobalu Berry Farms Scholarship Program is to help Oxnard area and Santa Maria area graduating high school seniors further their educational and career goals. Funds awarded can be applied toward a scholastic or vocational program.  The program was established in 2022 and has already awarded many scholarships to students now attending several colleges and universities, many are the first in their family attending college.

Accepting applications January 2025 – April 30 2025 for Fall College Enrollment

SELECTION CRITERIA:

  1. Applicants must be high school seniors attending one of the schools named in application form.
  2. Applicants must submit an official transcript.
  3. Applicants must have a minimum GPA of 3.5 with no D or F in all completed course work.
  4. Applicants must demonstrate community service and/or involvement.

In order to receive scholarship, students must enroll as a full-time student for the school year at a 4-year, junior college, or vocational school. The College or University must verify full-time status
