Santa Maria: As we head into August next week, volume is tight, but the weather is optimum, the plants are still healthy, and the strawberries look and taste great. We were in the fields this week assessing our ranches and checking out the summer planted crop that is growing nicely.
We remain very focused on maintaining a tight harvest schedule and our QC team is monitoring fruit quality, color, and sizing to ensure the best pack each day. These photos were taken on two different ranches this week and the fruit looks really nice.
We are also pleased with the summer planted fields that are doing really well as we look forward to those ranches coming into season at the end of August or by labor Day, at the latest. We will keep you informed on how that progresses.
