California Update

We are happy to say that we are still harvesting fruit from our fall crop here in California in December!  Yes, there is some rain in the forecast so we are working around that as much as possible to ensure best quality.  Overall, we are pleased with the crop and excellent fruit coming off our first fall program in Oxnard this year.  We look forward to this being part of our annual program moving forward.

At the same time, we have already planted our 2023 crop in both regions and look forward to a smooth transition from this year to next, especially with the fruit we are getting now from Mexico to fill the gaps.

Mexico Update

We are very pleased with our program here this year and see a lot of great fruit coming across the border on a much more regular basis as the season unfolds here.  The plants look very healthy producing fruit that is large in size, with good firmness and excellent flavor.  We will continue to see increased volume crossing and appreciate this region as a complement to our California program at this time of year.

Sustainability Update

The new year will bring new sustainable achievements at Bobalu.  We have been working behind the scenes on many new programs to reduce waste, reuse, and recycle throughout our operation.  One of the achievements that will be very obvious soon to you and our shared consumer is a new clamshell label made from material that will support a fully recyclable clamshell.  We cleaned up the look a little too.  Stay tuned for more on this front.
