Crop Update
As we write this update, we are looking at yet more rain here throughout California this weekend. Just as things start to look like spring, this happens. Thankfully, we are far enough into the season that the plants are going to push fruit, regardless of these weather disruptions. Unfortunately, we lose a lot of beautiful fruit along the way as we take a break to clean plants and fields following these rain events.
Once we get through this weekend, next week looks clear, cool, and sunny. Both Oxnard and Santa Maria fields look great as we look forward to more good news ahead as we shed these winter and spring storms. Our fields in both regions should really really pick up on volume as yield per acre increases. Fruit size, color and flavor are excellent and we look forward to a strong April.
