As this is being published, we are participating the in IFPA Foodservice Conference in Monterey. We look forward to seeing customers in person and sharing news about our fall crop progress in both Santa Maria and Oxnard.
Even though we are headed into August next week, we still are very pleased with quality of our fruit in Santa Maria. We are harvesting both Monterey and Cabrillo varieties that were planted last fall. At this time of year, we are focused on our QA process to ensure best quality goes into the box. We are also maintaining optimum plant health for the remainder of the summer on the fields that continues to push out great looking and tasting fruit, and we are still seeing beautiful displays featuring our brand.
We are on schedule to begin harvest of our fall crop here in Santa Maria later in August, followed with new fruit from Oxnard. We look forward to a smooth transition here soon to the summer planted fields.
We took some time last week to celebrate our 60th anniversary with our staff. The best part of who we are as a company is our team working along side us every day. We are extremely thankful for each of our employees and look forward to what the future brings all of us. This week we are celebrating at the Foodservice conference with a little ‘bubbly’ at our booth #902 – cheers!
