California Update
As summer marches on, we are pleased with our quality and volume coming from our fields along the coast near Santa Maria. If you have not had a field tour in this part of the state, please contact our sales team to set one up. This is a unique growing region that provides a very long production cycle due to the mild climate here.
We began harvesting strawberries from this coastal Santa Maria region in promotable quantities in the Spring and will continue here all the way until November, weather permitting. We have already planted our fall crop and expect to begin that new season here in August. We will keep you informed as those fields progress.
We have also planted our fall crop in Oxnard that will begin soon after our Santa Maria fall crop. We look forward to these two late seasons carrying our California harvest season all the way into 2023 as our Spring crop gets underway in Oxnard right around Christmas time.
This 2022-23 season will be our first year producing and harvesting fresh strawberries all 12 months from California. We appreciate your partnership and look forward to the rest of this year and all the beautiful fruit to yet to come.
