Santa Maria:  Just when we thought summer might finally be here, we got some rain this week.. Rain in June.   Thankfully, it moved out quickly and we were able to resume harvesting and continue with our fresh production here in Santa Maria.  We are back to our normal foggy mornings and evenings with temps in the 60’s during the day and 50’s at night.  Again, being on the westside benefiting from that ocean breeze every day, keeps our conditions pretty mild as we utilize day neutral varieties, so we expect a nice long summer crop from this region.

The fruit size, color and flavor is excellent and we are looking forward to some great summer promotions this year, as long as Mother Nature stops throwing us curve balls.  Our daily and weekly volume will remain consistent for the next several weeks taking advantage of summer holidays and consumer demand.
