Harvest after the Rain
We are excited to welcome Ryan Baird to the sales team. Ryan has been in the produce industry for twenty years and we are excited to have him on our team. Timing is perfect as we get into peak Fall Season and begin our plans for the 2022 program. We are excited to have Ryan on board and hope you enjoy talking with him in the coming months about our berry program. We all spent a few days walking the fields both in Oxnard and Santa Maria this week so he has seen existing and new crop first hand.
Crop Update
The fruit looks great and plants are healthy as we continue to work through our peak volume in Santa Maria. We are expecting rain in the forecast later this weekend and into Monday, but we will pick ahead and make sure the fields are clean beforehand. Next week should clear up and dry things out so we can stay on rotation and keep harvesting. We are enjoying this fall season in Santa Maria and the continued excellent quality and flavor. We are also planting in this region preparing for the 2022 spring season.
Oxnard planting has been completed and now we just wait for these beauties to grow and get ready for a new season that should kick in maybe by Christmas. Stay tuned for timing as things progress here.
